One sequence in a 13-artist CG relay. Translated Magritte's empty frame into 3D vertical space — 300×1080 px, 5 seconds, 24 fps. Selected for exhibition on Seoul LED billboards including COEX Xpace Column.

What this proved.
Vertical layering works. On a 1:3.6 frame, stacking objects top-to-bottom — sky, figures, frames, ground, observer — creates spatial depth that a cropped horizontal composition cannot. This became a reusable method across both pieces.
Micro-motion holds attention. In a 5-second near-still frame on a public LED screen, a breathing figure (Mixamo rigging + custom fitting suit) keeps eyes longer than a frozen 3D pose. The rigging work paid off in dwell time.
BTF Relay was selected from ~60 entries for the 1st Media Art Challenge Festival in Seoul (July 2024) and broadcast on COEX Xpace Column and other citywide LED billboards for one month. Organised by C4D User Group · VERS, hosted by VIDO, sponsored by JoongAng Ilbo, Innocean, COEX.
